FAQ

Questions, answered

Pricing & booking

How much does it cost?

+

Every property is different, so I give free, no-pressure quotes. New customers get $50 off their first service, text or call and I’ll get you a number fast.

Do you charge for a quote?

+

No. Quotes are free and there is no pressure to book. I look at the property, tell you what I would do and what it costs, and you decide from there.

How do I book?

+

Easiest is the free-quote button (it goes straight to me), or text/call (206) 822-2320. I’ll confirm the details and a time that works, and apply your $50 off.

How do I pay?

+

I send an invoice once the job is finished and you have had a look at the work. Nothing is due up front.

What if I need to reschedule?

+

Just text or call me. Moving a job is no problem, I would rather reschedule than rush it.

What I clean

What services do you offer?

+

Roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing for concrete, soft washing for siding and fences, exterior window washing, and deck and wood cleaning.

Do you clean gutters inside and out?

+

Yes. I clear the debris out of the inside, flush the downspouts, and wipe the mildew streaks off the outside so they actually look clean when I am done.

Can you clean a deck or fence?

+

Yes. Decks and fences get a soft wash and hand scrubbing instead of high pressure, so the wood does not get furred up or gouged.

Do you do driveways, patios and pavers?

+

Yes. Concrete and pavers get a surface cleaner for an even finish, and I can re-sand paver joints afterward if they need it.

Roofs & moss

Do you pressure wash roofs?

+

Never, high pressure tears up shingles. I use a careful brush and a moss-killing powder treatment instead. It clears the moss and black streaks and keeps working after I leave.

Do you clean metal roofs too?

+

Yes, but differently. Metal roofs get a soft wash rather than the brush and powder treatment I use on asphalt shingles.

Will the moss come back?

+

Eventually, yes. This is the Pacific Northwest. The powder treatment slows regrowth for a long time, and a maintenance clean later costs far less than letting it take hold again.

Timing & seasons

How often should I have my home cleaned?

+

Most homes here do well with a yearly exterior cleaning, our wet climate grows moss and algae fast. Roofs and gutters especially benefit from regular care.

When should I get my gutters cleaned?

+

After the leaves have finished dropping, usually around November. Cleaning once the trees are bare keeps them clear through the winter rain instead of filling back up a week later.

What happens if it rains on my appointment?

+

Most of this work is fine in the rain, so normal weather does not stop the job. If it is genuinely unsafe, especially anything on a roof, I will call you and we will move it.

The job itself

Do I need to be home?

+

Usually not. As long as I can reach the areas we talked about and an outdoor spigot, you are welcome to be out. I will text you when the job is done.

Do you need to use my water and power?

+

Water yes, an outside spigot is all I need. Power only once in a while, and I will ask first.

What about my plants and pets?

+

I wet plants down before and after so nothing sits on the leaves, and I will work around anything delicate if you point it out. Best to keep pets inside while I am running equipment.

How long does it take?

+

Most single services take a few hours. A full exterior with roof, gutters and concrete can run most of a day. I give you a time estimate with your quote.
